Website information

When you use DevExtras.com, we may collect:

  • IP address
  • browser and device information
  • pages visited and referring pages
  • cookie and similar technology data
  • server log information
  • information you send to us, such as your name, email address, and message content
  • order or transaction-related information where relevant

App analytics and diagnostics

Some of our apps use third-party services such as:

  • Firebase Analytics
  • Firebase Crashlytics
  • Firebase Remote Config

Depending on the app and configuration, these services may process information such as:

  • app usage and interaction data
  • crash reports
  • diagnostics and performance information
  • device and app instance information
  • approximate location derived from IP address
  • identifiers used for analytics, diagnostics, or configuration delivery

Advertising data

Apps that show adverts may use:

  • Google AdMob
  • Meta Audience Network via AdMob
  • AppLovin via AdMob

Depending on the app, device settings, consent choices, and applicable law, advertising providers may process information such as:

  • advertising identifiers
  • app interaction data
  • device information
  • diagnostics
  • approximate location derived from IP address

App-specific content or feature data

Some apps process feature-specific data, for example:

  • live microphone audio and derived voice measurements in Voice Tools and Voice Games
  • uploaded voice recordings and related submission data in Rate My Voice
  • shared counter data in Visitor Count
  • QR code content you choose to store in PocketQR: QR Wallet
  1. How we use information

We use information to:

  • provide and operate our website and apps
  • deliver the features you choose to use
  • analyse usage and improve our products
  • diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and improve performance
  • provide advertising in apps that contain adverts
  • process payments, subscriptions, and entitlement restoration through platform providers where relevant
  • respond to support requests
  • help maintain security, detect abuse, and prevent fraud
  • comply with legal obligations and protect our rights
  1. Voice and health-related data

Voice Tools and Voice Games use microphone access for real-time voice analysis. Because these apps relate to voice practice, voice measurement, or therapy-related use, this voice information may be considered sensitive or health-related.

Voice Tools and Voice Games do not access Health Connect, Google Fit, medical records, or health metrics such as heart rate, weight, blood pressure, steps, sleep data, or similar body measurements. They only access live microphone audio and derived voice-analysis information needed for the app’s real-time features.

For these apps, it is important to distinguish between accessing voice data and collecting it.

Voice Tools and Voice Games

These apps may access:

  • live microphone audio
  • derived voice-analysis information such as pitch, volume, formants, spectral information, tones, or similar measurements

This voice data is used only to provide the app’s real-time features.

During normal use:

  • the voice data is processed on-device
  • the voice data exists in memory only for the current session
  • we do not upload this voice data to our servers
  • we do not collect, store, sell, or share this voice data
  • we do not retain this voice data between sessions
  • this voice data is not used for advertising or profiling

In Voice Tools, audio is only written to disk if you explicitly choose to:

  • save a file
  • add to your voice bank
  • add to history
  • send audio by email

If you do not choose one of those actions, the audio remains session-only.

  1. How we share information

We may share information with:

  • service providers that help us operate our website and apps
  • analytics, diagnostics, crash reporting, hosting, advertising, and infrastructure providers
  • Apple, Google, and similar platform providers for app distribution, purchases, subscriptions, refunds, app metrics, and related platform functions
  • law enforcement, courts, regulators, or other third parties where required by law or where necessary to protect rights, safety, or property

We do not sell personal data as a general business model.

We do not sell the session-only voice data processed locally in Voice Tools or Voice Games.

  1. Advertising and personalised ads

Some of our apps display adverts. Where adverts are shown, we may use Google AdMob, AppLovin, and Meta Audience Network.

These providers may process limited data such as device information, advertising identifiers, app interaction data, diagnostics, and approximate location derived from IP address in order to serve, measure, and protect adverts.

Where required by law, consent settings, or platform rules, adverts may be provided as personalised or non-personalised. In the UK, EEA, and Switzerland, personalised advertising is only used where the required consent has been obtained. Non-personalised adverts may still use limited data for purposes such as frequency capping, fraud prevention, and aggregated reporting.

Apps that do not contain adverts do not use your data through us for advertising.

We aim for adverts shown in our apps to be appropriate for the app’s intended audience and applicable platform settings.

Users can manage relevant consent and privacy choices through app prompts, device settings, and platform controls.

  1. Payments and app stores

Our apps may be distributed through app stores such as the Apple App Store and Google Play. Those platforms may process payments, subscriptions, refunds, downloads, app analytics, and platform-level diagnostics under their own privacy policies.

If you purchase through our website or a third-party platform, the relevant payment provider processes payment information. We do not store full payment card details ourselves.

  1. Cookies and similar technologies

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • site functionality
  • analytics
  • security
  • spam prevention
  • remembering preferences

You can usually control cookies through your browser settings, although disabling some cookies may affect website functionality.

Rate My Voice

Rate My Voice is different from our other voice apps. Its purpose is to allow users to upload voice recordings so that other users can listen to them and rate them.

Data we may collect

When you choose to use Rate My Voice, we may collect:

  • the voice recording you choose to submit
  • ratings, reviews, and feedback connected to that submission
  • profile or demographic information you choose to provide, such as age, gender, country, or region
  • app-install or technical information needed to operate the service and manage submissions
  • diagnostics, analytics, and moderation-related information

How we use it

We use this information to:

  • upload and store your submission
  • make it available within the app for rating and feedback
  • operate, maintain, and moderate the service
  • improve the product and user experience
  • investigate abuse or misuse

Important

Because Rate My Voice is designed for user-submitted recordings to be rated by others:

  • submitted recordings are transmitted over the internet
  • submitted recordings are stored on our servers
  • submitted recordings may be made available to other users of the app
  • recordings submitted in this app are not session-only in the way they are in Voice Tools and Voice Games

If you do not want a voice recording to be uploaded or shared for rating, you should not submit it in Rate My Voice.

Please only submit recordings you have the right to submit.

Deletion

Where deletion is supported, requests may need to come from the original app installation used to create the submission.

We may periodically delete stale or inactive submission data, moderation data, and related records where no longer needed for service operation, abuse prevention, or legal reasons.

Even where we delete content from our own systems, complete deletion from every third-party copy may not always be possible if content has already been accessed, shared, or copied by others.

PocketQR allows you to create, store, organise, and display QR-related content.

Data we may process

  • QR code content you choose to add
  • app usage data
  • diagnostics and crash data
  • advertising-related data if the app shows adverts

  • to support adverts where applicable

  1. Legal bases for processing

Where UK GDPR, EU GDPR, or similar laws apply, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
